Lonza Specialty Ingredients (LSI) is looking for a Senior Manager, Global Payroll Operations who will oversee payroll and compliance for approximately 3,000 colleagues in Lonza Specialty Ingredients (LSI) across 30 countries, with key focus in Switzerland, the United States, the United Kingdom, Czechia, China and Brazil. The role will be responsible for vendor management and implementation of new payroll and time management systems, and will lead and develop a team of 3-5 Payroll Advisors to ensure timely, accurate and compliant payroll services.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with all corporate and country-specific regulations, policies and procedures
Manage the payroll and time management system implementation, including upgrades and enhancements. Develop tools and processes to aid in the quality and delivery of payroll
Develop standard, consistent processes across the globe while allowing for local flexibility when appropriate
Enable visibility to global payroll trends and costs and offers meaningful insights to guide strategic decisions
Manage vendor performance, including SLAs, risk and compliance
Coach, mentor and provide performance and career development to team members
Serve as a subject matter expert and point of contact for escalations and various ad hoc requests
Strong understanding of global payroll and time management, experience in implementing payroll in multiple countries and in managing relationships with third party payroll services
Strong ethics and the ability to maintain confidential information
Ability to develop a professional payroll function which is scalable & flexible to meet the company needs
Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Understands the business implications of decisions
Plans, prioritizes and organizes work to meet specific deadlines
Proven experience to lead, engage and motivate a team in multiple locations
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple projects/initiatives
Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel including V-look ups, pivot tables, macros, and other complex functions
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field, mandatory
CPP or Global Payroll Management Certification from APA, preferred
8+ years Global Payroll Management experience
Highly experienced with global payroll and time management implementations
