Lonza Specialty Ingredients (LSI) is seeking a Site Procurement Manager, Direct Materials. This position can be based in Morristown, NJ in our US Headquarters or in one of our other Lonza Specialty Ingredients locations.
Partner with site stakeholders to ensure business continuity and to understand and support the delivery of current and future business needs.
Manage the performance of the operational buying team.
Track saving performance and identify potential savings, risks & opportunities.
Develop site procurement strategy, support regional and global procurement strategy.
Drive professional partnership/collaboration with suppliers, manage portfolio of suppliers and
Bachelors - Business, Chemistry, Economics, Engineering, Procurement or Supply Chain or equivalent work experience
Experience using SAP ERP in a purchasing/procurement role
Experience and knowledge of both Operational Procurement and Purchasing of Direct (Raw Materials) (e.g. Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order Process)
Personal Leadership - takes initiative, ownership and accountability; is a self starter that can work with minimal direction. Has credibility, is not afraid to challenge and must possess an ability to influence
Understands customer expectations and requirements and incorporates them into sourcing strategies; establishes and maintains effective relationships; understands that procurement is a service function

Advanced experience of using Microsoft Office
