IT - Enterprise Architect (Milan)

We are seeking an experienced IT professional who will be responsible for all key activities with regards to group-wide Enterprise Architecture Management, within the related Lonza Corporate IT-Function. While this function is already successfully leveraging professional EAaaS, going forward we would like to strengthen the internal management capacity in this important IT domain.

Key responsibilities:

1. Manage EA Framework

  • Definition, implementation, and execution of the processes for the Corporate-wide definition, maintenance, and conformance management of the Enterprise Architecture.

  • Maintenance of the key Enterprise Architecture deliverables

2. Solution Design Support (Projects)

  • Review, interpret and respond to regular and complex business requirement specifications to ensure alignment between customer expectations and current or future IT standards and capabilities

  • Architect for cross-program, and cross-project Architecture strategies and direction for problem resolutions

  • Enterprise Architect for complex development and integration projects

3. Technology Scouting / Emerging Technologies

  • Technology scouting and run proof of concepts / Propose new solutions, liaise with vendors and Technology Research firms, and ultimately decide about global IT application and infrastructure standards

  • Explore and develop architecture designs in areas of emerging technolo-gies (AI, Data, Robotics, ...); driving new points of view and capabilities

4. Compliance Management

  • Ensure Auditing compliance within the Enterprise Architecture standards

  • Ensure that systems are implemented and documented in compliance with Lonza’s IT and EA standards.

  • Train and explain Enterprise Architecture to IT and Non-IT stakeholders

Key requirements:

General / Management / Business Knowledge & Experience:

  • Master degree in IT, Information Management or alike

  • Passion to work in an international and diverse environment, broad Corporate work experience

  • Experience in directing work groups (projects)

  • Strong background in the context of development of complex solutions

  • Strong interpersonal skills and team focus

  • At ease with working on different parallel tasks and conceptual projects

  • Quick to learn and fast to adapt to changing requirements

  • Fluent in English and another Swiss language (FR, IT, DE)

IT (Information Technology) Knowledge:

  • Deep knowledge in the main IT solution domains, such as business applications,
    IT infrastructure, mobile environments, IT security standards, data management, emerging digital technologies and Cloud environments (including hyper scalers)

  • Ideation, conceptualization, planning, proof-of-concepts of Enterprise Architecture designs

  • Sound experience with conceptual IT architecture designs and implementation thereof

  • Broad knowledge of IT innovation approaches and processes

  • Knowledge of major IT conceptual frameworks, such as TOGAF (most importantly), CoBIT,  ITIL, SAFe, etc are strongly desired

  • GmP, GxP, and IT system validation base concepts for process industries are advantageously
