Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Drug Product Physico-Chemical Quality Control organization, infrastructure and services for biologics, small molecules and peptide parenteral products for clinical drug products

  • Manage assigned groups of staff including Group Heads and subordinate organizations

  • Effectively manage the development and growth of the organization, working closely with Head of DPS Analytics and ensure well-being and development of the Quality Control staff

  • Oversee and ensure effective planning and use of resources (time, personnel, equipment, material and space), order, safety and health protection and all cGMP regulations

  • Implement improvements in planning, organization and execution of Quality Control lab operations to ensure efficiency increase

  • Drive the implementation, validation and execution of analytical methods and technologies to support Drug Product Quality Control (specifically including HPLC and CE purity methods, content by UV, identity, color, clarity and opalescence, pH, osmolality, extractable volume, CCI, visible and sub-visible particles)

  • Ensure the installation, qualification and maintenance of all facilities and instruments for Drug Product Physico-Chemical Quality Control in close alignment with current best practices, cGMP, Health, Safety & Environment regulations and other applicable regulations

Key requirements:

  • Degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related field

  • Extensive working experience in quality control under cGMP regulations

  • Excellent working knowledge of Quality Control operations

  • Proven leadership experience

  • Experience with Health Authority interactions and Inspections

  • Good working knowledge in relevant analytical techniques

  • Scientific expertise

  • Proven ability to deal with complexity

  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
