Key Responsibilities:

Assists sales organization in providing technical and administrative product information for our Discovery/BT Media/CGT portfolio.  Responsible for various pre- and post-sales activities that include assisting customers on the phone with technical problems in using products or product complaints that may require troubleshooting assistance, as well as arranging product demonstrations for prospective customers.  Life science products require science/technical qualifications. 

To provide technical support & Training  to the Sales team & distributors for Pan India & Middle East based out of Gurugram Corporate office. To develop & demonstrate technical capabilities of our products/instruments/ conduct seminars /Road Shows & KOL activities.

Techno commercial responsibility for NF & TRL, Business Development plus coordinating with the team for new customers in CGT/FFM /BT Media. This person will be also supporting  marketing & promotional material and tools for sales team.

  • Provides technical knowledge, advice and support to sales representatives, resellers and customers during the sales process

  • Provide & perform technical sales support at customer site

  • Addresses customer complaints by informing QA on nature of complaints for corrective action and coordinating repairs/replacement with customers.

  • To be the interface between the Sales Group and customers – Managing the prospective customers directly in order to define the sales opportunity, negotiation and ensure regular communication with customers

  • Funnel management: Capture customer request / interest for new products by interacting with customers and so develop proposal

              Forecasting: Responsible for maintaining revenue forecasts. These forecasts , will be updated and reported monthly 

  • Communication:  Keep all Sales and Marketing functions appraised at all times of new developments and opportunities as they arise

  • Reviews and develops product literature; trains new sales representatives, customers and distributors on technical features and benefits of products.

  • May assist customers during the sales process to maximize the benefits derived from the organization's products.

  • Serves as a technical expert on the Business Development project teams through New Idea and Discovery IPM stage gates leading to conversion to industry group projects.

  • Prepares detailed technical assessments of new markets, trends, technologies and businesses with specific go/no go recommendations.

  • May evaluate new technologies for acquisition/licensing; may assist in the evaluation, acquisition and integration of new businesses.

  • Maintain a highly visible professional profile for Lonza through active participation in industry organizations, technical societies and customer interaction.

  • Attend and participate in national/international industry meetings and trade shows. Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements:

  • B.Sc & M.Sc in Life science / Biomedical (Mandatory), PHD in Life Science / Biomedical

  • Experience : minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Life science or Pharma Industry only.

  • Well Versed with MS (Excellent presentation skills, hands on experience in Excel)

  • Experience in dealing with research portfolio, application support to customers, Instrumentation demonstration & Collaboration with Sales team.

  • Seeks to understand the corporate strategy and how his/her business area contributes to the company’s success

  • Excellent in Communication Skills.
